    Localization TBM made in Shenyang completed the construction task

    May 8th,the demonstration marketing ceremony for large main bearing of TBM which belonged to Chinese Academy of Sciences Strategic Pilot Science and Technology Special Project (Class C) "Independent and Controllable Manufacturing of High-end Bearings" was held in Shenyang.According to the introduction, the TBM was made by the North Heavy Industry Group Co., LTD. (here in after referred to as "NHI") , equipped with domestic large main bearings, it is the first fully domestic shield machine made in Shenyang.At present, the TBM has successfully completed the construction task in the east extension of Shenyang Metro Line 1.

    Strive to enhance the competitiveness of our products

    According to the introduction, TBM is a kind of full-face excavator, suitable for soft soil tunnel excavation construction.Since 2003, NHI has started the research and development of full face TBM.As a pioneer in the design and manufacture of TBMs in China, NHI has fully mastered the design and manufacture technologies of the world's major full-section excavators, such as Earth Pressure Balance TBM, mud-water balancing TBM and hard rock excavator.

    From the actual production of TBM to the realization of completely independent design and research and development, NHI has made great efforts on the road of exploring the independent manufacturing of TBM, and has made a series of gratifying progress and impressive performance.

    Xu Chengfa, general manager of Tunnel engineering technology Company of NHI, introduced: "From the Wuhan Yangtze River Tunnel project, known as' the first tunnel in the Yangtze River ', to the Liantang Road project of Hong Kong, the largest Earth Pressure Balance TBM in Asia; From the sprint of the world single driving mileage record, to the independent design and research of the world's first coal mine roadway full-face excavator, NHI has always unswervingly adhere to innovation, in the process of continuous research and development of new products, to find problems, solve problems, constantly overcome difficulties, continue to improve the product design and manufacturing level and comprehensive competitiveness.

    Many parties work hand in hand

    In 2022, in order to further improve the localization rate of TBM, NHI together with Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Shenyang Science and Technology Bureau, Shenyang Metro Group and other units, jointly discussed the feasibility of large main bearings of TBM in practical application, and test the localization level of shield machinery with the help of Shenyang Metro Line 1 East Extension project.

    In order to cooperate with the localization of TBM verification, the NHI setted up a professional technical team, equipped with a 24-hour service team, to overcome the influence of complex working conditions and other factors, to ensure the orderly development of all work.

    During the test, technicians of NHI used the TBM network control data platform for management, monitored and recorded the three practical application parameters of thrust, torque and speed throughout the whole process, and monitored the running state of the main bearing of the TBM under various driving parameter combinations in different strata.

    During the construction, the TBM of NHI has completed various parameter application scenarios of long time, large thrust, high torque and high speed. In the test, the main bearing drive motor current is normal, the gear oil and the main bearing temperature is normal, the main drive system runs well, and the "mechanical, electrical and hydraulic" systems all meet the use requirements, and the domestic verification of the shield machine has been successfully completed.

    Explore new models of technological breakthroughs

    "Today, the TBM equipped with domestic main bearings has been successfully completed, which is a great encouragement for scientific and technological researchers.""This proves that as long as we stick to the innovation-driven development strategy, we will be able to achieve the autonomy and control of major high-end technology equipment," said Liu Shubing, chief division of tunnel equipment of NHI.
